New York Times is rumored to announce a new content plan that will charge its online readers for content. The connection to the Apple iSlate is that the NY Times plan will be announced in “a matter of weeks.”

The reason this is little gem is relevant is because Apple is rumored to make the iSlate announcement this January 27. Though the iSlate has been rumored for many years, it looks like the current rumors seem to point to the 27th of this month.

Let’s hope that it is a better tablet concept than many of the disappointing tablets that were announced on CES.
